Is this a transmission problem

Truck doesn't respond well or not at all. After stopping in traffic. Checked transmission fluid added 1/2 quart. No better. We did a complete filter and fluid change in June. 1994 c1500 step side chevy, 168000

When was the last major tune-up and is it throwing out a check engine light code/s?

You are probably thinking the tranny is slipping-if the engine and its management system has a problem the transmission will not operate properly. Trust me BTDT.
