Im trying to do limited troubleshooting on my AC system, on a 1997 Chevy Silverado/CK1500 5.7L/V8 with about 176,000 miles on it. My blower and fan appear to be working fine however i get no cold air. I checked for voltage going into the compressor and the on off switch does work. I've also replaced the AC relay switch and i still cannot get the cluth to engage..........any direction would be greatly appreciated!!

You may try and take the low pressure switch off of the accumulator and use a paperclip or small piece of wire to jump it out. First though take a volt meter and check to ground to see if you have 12 volts to the low pressure switch. Also if you can pull the wire off of the switch and use an ohm meter to see if the switch is closing.
