i have 93 chevy astro and was having problems shifting out of park, if shut of for few minutes and try again it would work, then while parked in driveway it wouldn't budge, took shift arm off and had broken tension spring, replaced of 92 gmc safari that i am wrecking, after two days found that the switch down at brake pedal with vac line wasn't allowing contacts to separate, little turn and it worked, but now when shift into gear indicator doesn't line up, OD is nuetral spot, reverse is between park and rev, now it doesnt move at all when you shift into gear, can this be remedied by removing instr panel? thanks doesn't really bother me but it's frustrating to my wife!LOL

93 should have a small cable from the indicator to the bottom of the column. Its easy to adjust once you find it
