[b:cbcb1ff22f]Hello Everyone,
I have a 1987 Chevy van G-20, 5.0L, TBI,AC,Ps,Pb,Auto OD.
Started the van up and it flooded. Put the gas pedal to the floor and it started, rev a few times and was OK. Drove it for 10 min ,ran good and turned it off. Went to restart it and it floods out the engine? TB is dry but the 2 injectors seem to be putting out too much fuel. Disconected them to start engine. Hooked up one to drive the van home. Had to take the injector wire off & on one of them to get it to drive home. also a very loud air sound coming from the Iac motor air port? Is the IAC motor bad and how do I install a new one if it is bad. Thanks for any help![/b:cbcb1ff22f]

Hello: Not shorted injector, would blow fuse. If you can locate the fuel pump prime connector you could run the pump by itself and see if fuel comes out at the TBI (it should not). Possiblt injector stuck, "O" ring bad something like that. The Dist sends a ref pulse to the ECM, the ECM in turn fires the injector. Inj "ON" time is controlled by things like COOLANT TEMP sensor, TPS sensor, MAP sensor, possible one of these is fooling the ECM. The IAC motor controlls air bleed (idle). Do not know if you have a MAP or a MAF sensor in your car. Check the inj TBI for leaks first with pump prime
good luck
