Transmission problem
2007 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic < 1000 miles

Is there a repair for extreme downshifting on a 2007 6.0 6 speed non-allison "asain" transmission that has a common problem of severe downshifting in "tow mode." Downshifts are common around 5,000 rpm on slight grades.

That is normal in tow mode.
