I have a 2005 Chevy Aveo, has only 10,000 miles on it and yesterday it stalled twice. I'd only driven 3 miles from home. The first time it stalled when I made a left turn and then slowed to turn right into a parking lot it started sounding like it wasn't getting any gas, but I have 3/4 of a tank, I eventually got it started again, but it took several minutes. I was in the store about 40 minutes and it started fine when I came out, but when I got about 2 miles and slowed to pull into a left turn lane it stalled again. A man who had stopped behind me suggested taking the key out and putting it in again and seeing if that helped, since I have one of those security keys that cuts the fuel off if you don't push the button, it still wouldn't start, but after another minute it did start again and I made it home. He also said it sounded like it wasn't getting any fuel. It's a standard tranny if that makes any difference. It wouldn't start in gear or in neutral. I want to take it to the dealer but I'd like to have an idea as to what the problem may be. I've read several posts here that refer to the IAC and the EGR. I know almost nothing about cars, but from what I was reading, does it sound like either of those could be the problem. I'm taking it for granted that my car has those. Thanks for your help.
