i have been having a problem with my 6.6L diesel chevy truck putting out a large amount of white smoke at idle, in reverse, and during heavy excelleration. first i tried changing the oil and still the same. then i thought maybe one or more of the injectors are bad. i was just wondering if there was anything else i could try before i start replacing injectors which can get very expensive.

I would check the water in fuel sensor and fuel sys for large amounts of water,if you find water in the fuel sys I would clean the fuel sys and checnge the fuel filter.if that doesnt help then I would scan for any dtc's and check the injector balance rates.if all is good then you will probably be replacing injectors.post back with what you find.
