I am hearing a vibration under/or in my steering column. It happens when I am going around 30mph and/or if I am on a bumpy road...It sounds like it is metal on metal and I know that if I move my gear shift back and forth I can also hear the same noise....Any suggestions as to what it could be? It has about 120,000 miles on it.

sounds like you have the old steering shaft blues , not a big deal to do and inexpensive to pay someone to do .there was a recall but i dont know if your vehicle was in it , you may want to call the dealer and give them you vin over the phone before moving forward

good luck
