Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2001 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 115K miles

The rearend made a noise and then it would not go forward. I put it in 4H and it will drive fine with front wheel drive. do you think it's in the rearend or transfer case? If it's the rearend do you know what it could be? thanks for your help

First,
Jack the rear of the truck up (both tires off the ground) turn one rear tire and watch to see if the other one turns in the opposit direction. If it dosent, its something like a spider gear pin or a gear broken in the rearend.

Then come on back and tell us what you found out.
