2000 Chevy Truck Key ignition

The key will not turn in the ignition unless I keep turning it back and forth for a while and then finally it will turn and then start.Is it a big job to replace ignition?

try another key first as yours may be worn out. then lube the lock. If worst comes to worst you'll have to replace the lock not the switch. it's not advisable to change it due to the air bag, if it blows your windshield goes out and you 'll get hurt.
