The truck when cold starts and dies like it isn`t getting fuel. After it warms up however it does okay but still lacks power it should have. Dont think it is a spark plug because it does it when its cold and not hot. So whats your htought on a bad injector?

I'm not sure of engine litre size? I looked at the 5.3L. I'd use a gage and check fuel pressure, engine cold, key on engine off. My info showed 55--62 psi. fuel pressure.

You might check for applicable trouble codes. At the least, you need an obd2 code reader. Some of the national brand autostores used to check some codes for free.
