1998 Chevy Truck Transmission Shifting Hard

Every time I drive my truck for a while, the transmission shifts hard when changing gears. This only happens during the months that the temperature is warm. What do you think could be causing this to happen? It never happens during the cooler months.

Change the tranny fluid and put in a higher mileage fluid-- Valvoline 75000 mile plus tranny fluid worked for me.
