1998 Chevy Truck Fuel Filter

Can someone please tell me where the fuel filter is on this truck? It belongs to my Father-in-law and it is kind of jerking going down the road, like it is starving for fuel.

The filter is located inside the frame under the drivers side door. Do not try and open the clamp, disconnect the fuel lines and gently slide the filter out.
