I have a 1998 Chevy C1500 with the original motor that has 200,000 miles on it. I found a Chevy engine from the 1970's era that I would like to rebuild to replace the original motor in my truck. My question is will the 1970's era motor fit right in my truck or will it be a problem do to all the electronics or anyother factors? If it will be a problem can I bypass any of them or will I need to find a differant year motor to rebuild?

Are you swapping a 350 to a 350 or what?
