1998 Chevy Truck Blown Head gasket do to possible over heat

I just bought this truck knowing that the head gasket was blown.I pulled the heads an noticed there was rust already starting to form on the push rod and a little in a couple cylinders,it also has all the milky oil.Iam thinking on getting a set of rebuilt heads but my concern is the rust. And if there is any thought you think I should be aware of.I also have a rebuilt 383 stroker with flat top pistons about 9:2 compression, Comp cam Part number CCA-12-388-4would this set up work if I was to put Vortec heads on that 383. Or should I stick to the motor that is in the truck? Thank you very much. Kevin

If the engine has the white sludgy oil in the crankcase, you need to replace all bearing inserts..check crank journals, and hone the cylinders.
The PCM probably will not work with modified cam.
