1997 Chevy Truck backfiring at driving speed

engine runs extremly rough while holding any speed. i have replaced plugs and wires, coil pack, fuel filter, and cleaned egr. still the same so i replaced the egr with a used one from junk yard. seems to run better when air temp. is cold warmer temp the rougher it will run. sure could use some help.

sounds like a cpi problem or you still have carbon holding open the egr. does it have any codes? do you know the fuel pressure? is the timing changing?
