1997 Chevy Lumina Fuel pumps

We are expertiencing problems with the Lumina not starting (as though there is no fuel). some times it starts other times it doesn't. When it starts it will be fine for 2 or 3 days and then it doesn't work. We need help to find what could be wrong and how we can fix our problems.

Does your car have a chip in the ignition key??

Does it have a check engine light on. Does your ignition key have a computer chip??
