Does it only knock at idle? Cause I cant sove my problem. Um first things first. Were is the knock from. Well. Does it thud when gassed on and of?
Does it run bad? Is anything Lose or rattling? Is there water in it? And is it LOUD? If not it's a tick and pretty simple. If those all check out ok.
U-joints? Impact.
Make sure if it has a opti-spark it's ok
Maybe it's lifters. Have an experienced person listen for this. And if he thinks it might be that pour in a little ATF it tends to free them
Con Rods knock loudest around 3500
to check for that pull the plug wire, pop a tester on the wire so it's safe, and turn it
The bad cylinder will stop the noise when disabled.
All other knocks are on acceleration or dead start.
If it knocks cold then you are screwed and go see the shop
