This tranny is a 4L80E,the truck has sat for about 5 years due to a blown motor.I got it running and when I first drove it it starts in 2nd gear and will only shift back and forth between 2nd and 3rd.It also will not downshift (kickdown) when I floor it.I have changed the fluid and filter already and it is not pulling any trouble codes.It does not slip and drives fine in 3rd gear.I was planning on using a flush product and possibly dropping the valve body and cleaning each port.Please tell me I dont need a new tranny.
