1996 Chevy Truck High Idle

1996 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 96 Z71 that has a high idle. I have checked for vaccums leaks but have found none. I cannot hook up to a computer b/c the brain is dead in my truck. Any idea as to what might have it ideling high?

Try cleaning out the idle air control valve and see what happens
