1996 Chevy Truck Backup/ Reverse lights out.

I noticed that I had no reverse light when shifting into reverse. The bulbs were replaced, fused are all fine. Is there a limit switch that is activated when shifting into reverse?

yes, check the back-up lamp switch, it is located on the left side of the transmission.
