Hello gents; just joined. I study to be a mechanic. Never seen the inside of an engine before, at least not on purpose.

1st shop project: subject car, overheated, blew heads.

Refinished heads, installed, torqued. Reconned lines, hoses, wires, plugs. Weeeell. Not quite. Some plugs I can't fig out where to attach, but got Mr. Haynes & Dr. Chilton helping.

Cept for the MAP sensor. Pls bear in mind I'm a newb, and can't for the life a'me find the plug that connects to it! I could feel better about my instructor not finding it either (thinx I hid it in a cylinder!). If I was in this for an ego trip, but since I'm serious, I tearing my hair out!

Please, tell me, if you can, where the plug that connect to the MAP sensor is, where to find it, where the wire that it's attached to comes from, whatever 411 you have, so I can start this. Well-designed, artfully-put-together car!

Sorry about the venting. You guys been here, right?
Just to be thorough: 1996 Chevrolet Lumina sedan, 3.1lt V6. Can't recall mileage; let's figure 100,000+
Thanks, will check in soon.

THX for the heds'up. I hope I find dealers as helpful as yourn.

Didn't have to go that route. Just gave up n took off the manifold.

Yeah, there it was, tucked under another cable, d'oh.

New issue is gas seems to be failing to reach the engine. I'm new at this, bear with me.
