1996 Blazer S-10, 165,000 miles. When I am going at higher speeds (65-70 mph) and I have to hit the breaks suddenly to avoid another vehicle my brake pedal is hard, won't go down, and it pulls me to the right. I release and hit the brakes again and the brakes are fine. I have my blazer to 3 different repair shops (including a chevy dealer) and none of them have any idea what it is. It is definately a safety issue. Do you have any ideas?

It sounds like a ABS unit problem.
