hope this gets to you, gstacey. No codes are showing up, no check engine light on. How would you get a code to come up if no check engine light is on? Will be trying your advise. Hope it does the trick

It could very likely have no codes. The check engine light does work when key is turned on, correct? If you jump terminals A and B at the diagnostic connector, it should at least flash a code 12, which indicates diagnostic mode is entered.
