1995 Chevy Truck oil pump

after turning on or running the engine for about 10 minutes, it sounds like a tapping noise like their is no oil pumping into the cylinders.

Do you have a gage in the dash or a light? you should have a gage,What is it reading?With that many miles on it,I would not flush the engine.
