1995 Chevy Truck fuel pump?

I ran out of gas a day ago. I added five gallons the next day. The truck drove bad and then it just stalled and wont turn on. What could it be?

Hi:
Start with checking fuel pump pressure. Most parts stores will lend or rent the gauge. Here are the directions on how to check it:
