1995 Chevy Truck engine dies

When engine running at idle have to keep giving it gas as soon as idle down or hit brake engine dies out...engine runs great giving it gas...replaced plugs..wires...rotor ...dist. cap

sounds like your idle air control valve is stuck closed.(this valve is what sets idle speed so you dont have to put your foot on gas. please give feedback if i have helped you.
