1994 Chevy Truck Rattling noise when accelerating and going

My truck is making a rattiling noise when you take off from a stop and when it changes into second gear, also it makes the noise when you go up a incline. There is no noise when the truck is at idle or after you get going. I recently had some transmission work done I don't think the transmission is the problem because the truck runs and changes gears fine.

Check the starter bendix (gear) to be sure the spring isnt broken letting it fall back into the flexplate on acceleration and on inclines
