When the engine is cold, the PU starts easily. After it warms up, it will act like is is going to turn over, and then there is a few second hesitation, and it will go ahead and start.

The battery was replaced, and this didn't make any difference.

Any suggestions?

Make sure your cables are good. That means clean at both ends and no corrosion near the battery. Also make sure to clean your battery ground very good at the engine where it connects as it may be losing contact when warmer. An engine draws the most current when it is very cold out or when hot and engine is hot. If it still starts hot after doing this have your starter tested for draw. Most auto parts stores can do this.
