my 1994 chevy truck idles rought and the volt hand moves between 11 and 14

Get the charging system checked out and then get back-fluctuating like that computer is confused is to how to control the engine management system due to unstable voltages. Could be very well be the idle air control valve that's causing it-try clean it and see what happens.
