I COME TO A STOP LIGHT AND THE ENGINE STALLS IF I CONTINUE TO CRANK IT, IT WILL START BUT ONLY STAY RUNNING IF I HOLD GAS ABOVE IDLE

Sounds like you may have a problem with the idle air? You may need to clean the throttle-body and check the iac, idle air control. Any applicable trouble codes? How long since a tune-up?

The tune up was done about 2 months ago wires about 3 weeks ago and fuel filter 3 weeks ago

Right now, I'd look at the iac, also the passages may need cleaning? Any codes?
