Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1989 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive

When in movement the rear end vibrates, sometimes severely. Plus there is a grinding noise. At high speeds, (50 mph), when I go over a bump the back end seems feel like it's swaying. It's a 3900 with a 6 inch lift kit. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY TRUCK!!!!?????

Hi:
I can't help with the swaying because it's most likely related to the lift. However, have you removed the differential cover? If not, service it and check to see if there are metal shavings in the gear lube. also, check for play at both ends of the drive shaft.

Let me know what you find.
