1989 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

battery is good,connections are good.alt is only putting out 12 volts.no power coming off harness of alt.new alt is new,old one tested @ 14 volts but bearings were bad.

The new alt sounds bad. Have you tried replacing it?

I haven't changed the new one yet,but I had the same problem with the old one and tested good.There is a silver slow blow fuse in the fuse box,for the battery,I haven't changed.The 30 amp green fuse for the battery is good.The only reason I kept the new alt was the bearings in old one were making noise.I must be overlooking something.
