Engine Mechanical problem
1988 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic unknow miles

Hello
I have an 88 chevy k2500 pickup.It has a 350 with thottle body injection.
If I want to change to a carb, can I still use the electric fuel pump in the gas tank,or will the fuel pressure be to high.
also what years are 350 parts interchangeable?
thank you

We recommend staying with direct fit parts because there always seems to be a problem when you change things. As far as the carb, I don't think the needle valve will hold 50+ PSI of fuel pressure. They were designed for around 12 to 15. Also, 350's have been around for years, but I don't have the cross reference info to answer the other question. Many parts will be interchangable; however, many will be different too. If in question, contact a parts store and have them check the part number for both years to see if they are the same.

I wish I had better answers for you, but this is the truth.
