1988 Chevy Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I am not geting 12 volts to the coil and the coil is brand new. What is my next solution

without knowing what it is doing except not getting 12 volts to the coil it could be a number of things, The ignition switch, the distributor, a broken wire. etc. Check to see if you are getting 12 volts coming from the ignition wire to the coil. If not start checking the fuses, then for any broken or crimped wires.
