1986 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

on a 400 cu in.chevy engine replacing head gasket with a fel-pro gasket with metal between clyinders on one side of gasket and gasket material between clinders on the other side of gasket which side goes up towards the head?

metal side up.

or the side with the writing on it, usually has a this side up or put hte lettering up.
