Transmission problem
1986 Chevy Truck Four Wheel Drive Automatic

i put in a new transfer case and my truck is grinding when I take off still what gives? Is the tranny shot?

Does the sound come from the trans area? Do you only hear it on alleleration? When you removed the transfer case, did you check the output shaft bearing for play and did you remove the transmission?

Actullay it was the transmission. The torque pin to be exact but it was nice to have the new parts put in haha!
