Electrical problem
1984 Chevy Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I was changing the alternator last night but was in a hurry and forgot to disconnect the battery and when I loosened the alternator it fell back and the hit wire on it hit the engine, there was smoke coming from the firewall on the drivers side. I disconnected the battery and finished changing the alternator but now I don't have power to anything except for the headlights. I couldn't really see anything melted and all the fuses look good.
