Heater problem
1980 Chevy Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 150+ miles

odd, heater works in off position with fan on high, but when switched over to heater it stops???? defrost also works

I don't have very good wiring info on your model year. Where applicable, you can check the blower relay. I have seen a safety system where the blower would blow slightly, in order to pressurize the cabin area, keep out fumes, normal with some systems?

My wiring info doesn't show a blower relay,but, the partsbook shows one. Usually when relay is energized only continuity for high-speed. High-speed doesn't use a resister, but the lower speeds do.
