1973 Custom 20 when in drive wont stay running have to stomp on gas to make it go changed fuel filter turned up idle, in park stays running, in drive struggles to stay running ran fine two days ago its like something went just dont know is a good runner literally out of the blue bang this can you help please and thank you

Check the ignition timing, check also if the choke plate is fully opening and the EGR and PCV valves-Check the fuel pressure too. If all of these are in working order-you're looking at the Carb
