I'm about to swith engines in my 69 Chevy C-10. The engine I'm taking out had the hot wire and two smaller wires to the starter silinoid. The engine I'm putting in has the hot wire but only one smaller wire to the starter silinoid. What do I do with the extra wire?? The engine I'm replacing was a 76 305 engine, and the engine that I'm putting in is a 84 305 engine.

I would use the old starter. It should still bolt up.
