Electrical problem
1967 Chevy Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual n/a miles

My Battery on my 67 Chevy overheated after a 20 mile drive at speeds between 40 and 60. The volt metter is reading over 16 when driving. Was wondering if the over voltage my be causing it and how I can fix it too?

The voltage regulator is defective its not controlling the alternator output-You might also be needing another battery
