1961 Chevy Truck 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

Is it difficult to replace the throw out bearing or do I need more repairs?

You will have to remove the transmission, my advice to you is, if you going to chance to throw out bearing you you better inspect the clutch plate also, because the truck is old. Have you inspected the linkage to the to the clutch, make sure you have no play in the bushings,
