How do you remove the large nut on the fan assembly that attaches to pump / Can't keep pulley from turning / Does this nut turn counterclockwise to loosen

Hello, yes the threads are left hand, leave the drive belt on to help stop the pulley from turning. You might have to apply more pressure to the belt to help hold it. There is a special wrench that can be used to remove the fan clutch, but sometimes you can use a large crescent or equivalent. Please let me know how it goes. Thanks for using 2Carpros.com
