My fuel gauge is not working right.
When I fill-up the gauge goes to zero and the low fuel light comes on. After driving awhile the fuel gauge slowly rises to full and from there it seems to work correctly, going down at the rate I would expect as I consume the tank of gas. The same scenario occurs when I fill-up again, gauge shows zero and fuel light comes on, then rises to full after awhile.
I'm guessing the fuel sensor in the tank is bad.
Do you agree and how difficult is it to replace this part? It looks like the fuel tank has to be dropped in order to get to the sensor, correct?
Thanks,
Tom

yes it is the level sensor, and yes you have to drop the gas tank.its not that bad of a job if its on a lift, but doing it on your back could be difficult.the fuel level sensor is very common on these vehicles.
