The speedometer sticks a little driving around town, almost like it mechanically gets caught on something, before freeing itself. Then, when on longer trips of about an hour, it will sometimes freeze at a given speed (usually about 60-70 mph, since that's generally what I'm driving at the time). It is then nonresponsive. When I shut it off for a while, it will then work, but it will have the spot where it froze as its zero point. After some around-town driving it will eventually works its way back to normal. I'm thinking something's up with the speed sensor in the transmission, but like I said, sometimes it seems like more of a mechanical issue with the way the speedometer sticks. Any ideas?
