speedometer stopped working?

My speedometer was working fine and one day I got in it, started going down the road and it started not working again.

Hello,

Sounds like you have an issue with the vehicle speed sensor (VSS). The VSS is located on the transfer case housing (see diagram).
The VSS measures the rotation of the output shaft and translates that to the speed on the dash.
It can stop working due to losing its calibration overtime from all the heat and vibration.
Check the connector and make sure it is secured and clear of any corrosion.
