We had a good cold spell here this winter. One day i started to drive down the road and found my speedometer, not moving then it started ,then it didn't .one minute it said i was doing 60 mph. only i was really doing 20mph. it works when it wants to ,but never the right speed i'm going. i'll be doing 65 on the highway and is tells me i'm doing 10 mph. What is this thing doing?

Ok if you have a digital multi meter I would like to test the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) and make sure it is working right and then go from there. Let me know if you are up to doing some tests and we will take it from there.
