Where is the speed sensor located and is this what controls the speedometer?

The Vehicle Speed Sensor is what feeds information to the computer for the speedometer, It is located in the tail-shaft housing of the transmission. The diagram below is of a 4wd, but the location will be similar. The Wheel speed sensors are a different sensor used for traction control and ABS. I believe the 06 trailblazer EXTLS four-wheel-drive has two on the transfer case at the rear end of the transfer case. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what you find.

Good evening- Can you please tell me where the speed control sensor in my transmission is located. I have a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer LS 4wd....please show diagram....Thank you!
