my power steering went when i was driving. the belt is good and fluid level is good any ideas

If belt is good and there are no leaks, then a seal in the pump is more than likely bad, and the pump will have to be replaced.
I believe a reputable shop can disconnect the pressure line from pump, install gauge and measure hydraulic pressure. If low, then pump, if normal then rack.
